These photos were taken spring 2006, when the CCDA's Mountain Beautiful began caring for Andy Fletcher Park. After some spring cleaning and weeding, the Iris began to bloom and the wild Lupin which had taken over the beds was also in bloom. The Lupin remained until after it went to seed and then was removed. The beds have been replanted now...please see the new photos (scroll window).
MEET THE CHAPMAN'S -THANK YOU FOR HELPING!
The CCDA is very fortunate to have Mark & Cheryl Chapman as volunteers!
They have taken on the difficult task of watering all of the CCDA flower barrels
which enhance the street corners of Crestline and do this several times a week.
Please, everyone, tell them THANK YOU when you see this hard working couple
out making Crestline a better place to live!
FLETCHER PARK
And if that was not enough - they have also repaired the sprinkler system at Andy
Fletcher Park. Mark has replaced more than half of the broken or missing spary
heads as well as repaired a large number of underground pipes that were broken
and leaking. We are very grateful to both of them for helping to keep this important
green space a beautiful spot for everyone.
