2007 GARDENS ECLECTIC TOUR A SUCCESS!

"The garden tour was wonderful this year. There were many changes and improvements from last year. The reception especially was great with the violin music, the tables and floral arrangements. The presence of many plants and the drawing were all nice touches that made the event especially enjoyable. Many thanks for an inspiring day."

...from a visitor to our 2007 tour

The 2007 Gardens Eclectic tour was a great success, with more than 200 visitors. The Mountain Beautiful Committee of the Crestline Communities Development Alliance would like to thank everyone who came out Sunday, June 3, 2007 to support us.This year we showcased six diverse gardens from Valley of Enchantment to Twin Peaks.

Many businesses and indivduals also contributed items to the effort and sold tickets, including Roxanna's Garden, Chateau Gourmet, Steve's Nursery, Lake Gregory Coffee Company, McCabe and Co. Booksellers, 1000 Words Photos, Amy Thomson, Raymond Johnson, Mary Walters, Huffpetto's Workshop, Lake Gregory Yacht Club, Goodwin's Market, La Cocina de Tony, Paula's Place, Not Too Shabby, a Bluer Sky, Sleepy Hollow, Candi's Hair Salon, ACE Garden Center, Tudor Pines Lodge, Bibby Realty. A special thanks to the Crestline Courier-News for allowing us extensive coverage.

Crestline is located in the San Bernardino Mountains just off State Highway 18, roughly 14 miles north of San Bernardino. The community is at an altitude of about 5,000 feet and enjoys a full four seasons of gardening delights.

This year’s Gardens Eclectic Tour again featured the highly popular Plein Air Painters—noted artists who come to Crestline to paint the gardens during the Gardens Eclectic Tour. Their work will be displayed and available for sale for a week after the tour at Van Buskirk Artistry in Old Town Crestline.

Proceeds from the garden tour will go toward buying bulbs, wildflowers, shrubs and trees for public plantings to beautify the greater Crestline area.
